CLUB NEWS FOR 2006

These are the members who turned out on May 9th 2006 for our opening day.

Unfortunatly we didn't bowl as rain stopped play and the afternon was spent indoors

For your information, the background of the photo is of my sons back garden in Regina. He is responsible for getting Pauline & me (Brian Sexton ) on the same picture from the ones shot by Brian & Pauline.


RED HAT FUN DAY

We had the Madoc Red Hat Society ladies at our club on May 24 in the afternoon.
We were approached by the group asking if it would be possible for them to come and give the sport a try.
Sixteen ladies came of which 3 had played the sport previously. They all had a great time and expressed in coming again next year.

The venue never looked so colourful with the Red Hat ladies adorned in their red and purple garments.


THE JITNEY POINTS POOL

WINNER: JUNE VANCE with 42 points


Second: Brian Sexton with 39 points

Third: Dennis Thompson with 37 points


Fourth: Ruth Cantalon with 36 points

Marie Elliot was 5th with 32 points and John Langley was 6th with 30 points


MOST IMPROVED PLAYER FOR 2006

Gail MacSteven being presented with the plaque for "The most improved player" by Pauline Hill, the Tournament Co ordinator.
